Used Cars Import Policy in Tanzania

As per the Government import policy of Tanzania, 10 years old vehicles can be imported however, older than 10 years vehicles can import with a penalty of extra taxes and duties. Before the shipping process from Japan, all vehicles must clear the road-worthiness inspection from JAAI (Japan Automobile Appraisal Institute). Usually imported new and used Japanese vehicles are shipped via port of Dar-es-Salaam.

Toyota Noah, Raum, Prado, Vitz, Corolla Axio, Mitsubishi Canter Truck are most selling Japanese vehicles in the country of Tanzania.
